Ross
Boyd has been studying music for more than twelve years, predominantly under the
tutelage of Patrick Lee Hébert. His first love has been his guitar,
and has since developed his skills on any keyboard of any kind. Ross's
creativity abounds as he blends his guitars, his keyboards and his engineering
talents into pieces of emotion, charm or wit.
In 2004, Ross joined Highland Piano Studios as preliminary instructor of piano and later expanded HPS's curriculum to include guitar, both electric and acoustic. His approach is experiential and inventive, allowing students to explore a wide range of genres and techniques. He now continues to teach guitar, piano and bass in the Hooksett area.
Ross enjoys an eclectic assortment of avenues to perform, from the subdued coffee house to the more lively rock surroundings when he lends his talents to a local band. Last fall he contributed his musical talents to the production of Pirates of Penzance with the Acting Loft in Manchester, and will be performing for the Heart & Music Charity Benefit for Jaymes Fund in April 2008.
